I usually try to buy albums from the store instead of online for many reasons:
1. Security. It might sound weird, but I like having a physical copy of the album. What if something happens to my iTunes or computer and I lose all my music? Got back-ups, baby!
2. Artwork. Artists usually put a lot of effort and creativity into the artwork and covers for their albums, so it’s cool to see it in real life instead of on the screen. Also, I haven’t seen it much lately, but sometimes they provide the lyrics. Always a plus.
3. Surprise. Looking through albums, I always find one that intrigues me. I usually end up buying a random one that I may or may not like.
Long story short: I was at Best Buy trying to find the Generationals’ album and left with Band of Skulls. I had heard their one song from the Mustang commercial, so I decided to buy it.
Turns out the album is pretty good. Definitely has some strong tracks that stick out. Listen to one of my favorites below!
